Infinity Kappa Vs Reference

Infinity Kappa Vs Reference. Infinity Reference Series Kappa 6 speaker pair — Polk Audio Forum Kappa One K will give you more power, but you may not notice the difference (every doubling of power is a theoretical 3 dB gain with 10 dB being a perceived doubling in loudness.) I'd be a little sketched out by the Infinity Ref 10001A being 1/3 the new price for a refurb unit unless it has a great warranty. Now, I have been looking at the various Infinity products, and can't really figure out the difference between the Reference and Kappa series.

The Infinity Reference Speakers are the most popular and well-accepted series among the Infinity brand of car speakers. The old Reference 3.5 (I have a pair) They 3.5 inch form factor makes this a Moot point and have a sound that is IMO, better then the Kappa line of the 3.5 of their time (2004-2009?) where oddly enough, while being weak in the bass, were FANTASTIC and CLEAR AS A BELL -- if crossed over at ~ 250 Hz (or well within its peak OPTIMAL operating band) ; could spar it up with speakers in the higher.
